What this free service is and is not, who owns the posture text and AI images, what you may reuse and must not scrape, how ads fit in, and the governing law.

These terms govern the use of content provided by Ashtanga Shala. By using the Site you agree to them.

Nature of the service

The Site is a free informational service about Ashtanga yoga practice. There is no registration or payment feature, and all content is provided as-is.

Intellectual property

The text, illustrations, photos, videos, and design on the Site are held by the operator. Reproduction, distribution, or derivative works without prior written consent are prohibited. When quoting, please credit ashtanga-shala.net.

Note that the posture photographs and Sun Salutation clips are AI-generated images; how they were made is set out under Content basis in the About page.

Permitted and prohibited use

Browsing for your own practice and study, printing or saving pages for personal use, and referring to the Site during a yoga class are all free — and welcome.

The following are prohibited: bulk collection of content by automated tools (scraping) for use in another service; republishing the Site or a substantial part of it; framing the Site so it appears to be your own service; and including the text in AI training datasets without permission. Ordinary search-engine indexing is not affected.

Partial quotation with credit and link sharing are always allowed — and appreciated. For other uses (published translations, inclusion in teaching materials, and the like), just ask; permission is usually granted free of charge.

Advertising

The Site displays third-party (Google AdSense) advertisements. The operator is not responsible for the content of, or transactions on, external sites reached through ads.

Changes and interruptions to the service

The operator may revise content or suspend the service without prior notice. As a free service, no liability is accepted for losses arising from such changes.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be revised, with notice posted on this page. Continued use of the Site after posting constitutes acceptance.
