Advertising & Cookie Policy
How Google AdSense ads, advertising and analytics cookies, and this site's own browser storage are used — with consent, opt-out, and cookie-clearing steps.
The Site shows Google AdSense ads to stay free to use, and cookies are used in the process.
Advertising cookies
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable personalized ads.
How to opt out
You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).
At www.aboutads.info you can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies in one place.
Opting out of personalization does not remove ads; you will simply see generic ads unrelated to your browsing history.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
Separately from advertising cookies, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (such as _ga) for visitor statistics. These distinguish visitors by an anonymous identifier and do not identify you personally; what is collected, and how to opt out, is set out under Analytics in the Privacy Policy. The opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout blocks the measurement.
Consent for visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google's EU user consent policy requires that you be asked before advertising cookies are used. That message is shown by a Google-certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) delivered through the advertising script itself; the Site does not separately collect or store what you choose.
Declining costs you nothing here. You will see generic ads unrelated to your browsing history instead of personalized ones, and practice progress, language, and theme keep working exactly as before. You can reopen the same message and change your choice at any time.
Visitors elsewhere see the cookie notice at the bottom of the screen instead. That notice only remembers whether you dismissed it; it is an information banner, not a consent mechanism for advertising cookies. Wherever you are, personalized advertising can also be switched off through the opt-out links above.
What each cookie and stored value is for
The table below lists everything this Site sets or has set on its behalf. Retention for the Google items is decided by Google and may change; your browser's settings screen shows the current values.
| Type | Set by | Used for | Retention |
|---|
| Advertising cookies | Google (third party) | Serving personalized ads, capping how often an ad is shown, preventing click fraud | Per Google's policy (typically months) |
|---|
| Analytics cookies (_ga and similar) | Google Analytics (third party) | Counting visitors and popular pages | Up to 2 years |
|---|
| cookieOk | This Site (localStorage) | Remembering that you dismissed the cookie notice | Until you clear it |
|---|
| lang | This Site (localStorage) | Remembering your interface language | Until you clear it |
|---|
| theme | This Site (localStorage) | Remembering the dark or light theme | Until you clear it |
|---|
| level · done | This Site (localStorage) | The series you are practising and the postures you marked | Until you clear it |
|---|
The Site's own storage
The cookieOk, lang, theme, level, and done values in the table above are not cookies: they live in your browser's localStorage. Unlike a cookie, which is attached to every request, these values never leave your browser.
They are unrelated to advertising and analytics and hold nothing that identifies you. They do not sync between devices or browsers, so switching browsers starts your practice progress over.
Clearing or blocking cookies in your browser
Chrome (desktop): Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies to choose what is blocked; Delete browsing data removes what is already stored. To clear this site alone, go to Privacy and security, then Site settings, then View permissions and data stored across sites.
Safari (Mac and iPhone): Settings, then Privacy, where Block all cookies can be turned on, or use Manage Website Data to clear individual sites. Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data. Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
Blocking cookies entirely does not stop you reading the postures or using Practice Mode. If your browser also blocks localStorage, however, your language, theme, and practice marks will not be remembered, and a private or incognito window discards them as soon as you close it.
How ads are placed
Ads are visually separated from practice content and are never placed where they could be mistaken for it. Nothing that looks like body text is inserted between a posture's description, its entry steps, or its alignment notes.
No ads run inside Practice Mode or immediately beside the buttons that drive it. That screen is used with the eyes closed and the breath counted, mis-taps are easy, and such a click serves neither the reader nor the advertiser.
Ad revenue funds the Site's running costs and the writing. Advertisers have no say in the posture descriptions or in the order of the sequence, and no studio or product is recommended here in exchange for payment.
Changes to this policy, and contact
Effective date: August 20, 2026. Last revised: September 11, 2026 (added consent management, the cookie table, how to clear cookies, and ad placement principles).
This document is revised whenever the advertising vendors' policies or the applicable law change. When a change is material, the revision date in this section is updated to say so.
Questions about cookies or advertising are welcome at skiloveman@naver.com, or through the 1:1 button at the bottom right of the screen. We aim to reply within three business days.
